The Anniversary That Never Ends

What could be better than the romance and the love continuing? Nothing I tell you! In my last post I reminisced about our wedding day in celebration of our two year anniversary. Thank you all for your love and well wishes from then until now! It was fun to share our wedding with you and to hear all your feedback and memories of the wedding. So fun! That was just the beginning of our celebration! Although Eric and I haven’t yet been able to go off on our own for our anniversary (planning a weekend getaway trip for May) we were able to celebrate with family. For people with family out of town (although the in-laws are moving back!) we take visits whenever we can. My dad was able to come up for the weekend before our anniversary. What a guy!

Yup, that’s my dad! The goofiest, funniest, best dad I know. And yes, that is at our wedding! So it was fun to celebrate our anniversary with him! We had a lovely weekend visit with him full of lots of love and lots of good food. He took us out for a fancy meal. Yummm! The weekend was also full of these goodies.

Roses from their garden in Atlanta.

Yummy smelling candles. Isn’t that the coolest looking candle you’ve ever seen?

Dad gave us a candy egg dropping chicken.

We gave Dad the “Dude Bunny” complete with chocolate bling. I am so his daughter.

Then (oh yes, there is more celebrating!) a box showed up on our porch from Eric’s parents right around our anniversary. Look at the most beautiful and touching gifts they sent us. The categories are sentimental, crafty, and bling. Oh yes.

Pictures from Eric’s past! Who doesn’t love to see their significant other when they were younger?!

The Rapp clan. Can you find bleached hair Eric?

Eric at 4 months! Must do this for our future children. How adorable is that embroidered frame?!

Eric’s grandmother’s house in the winter. The memories made in this house in winter is what makes him such a Christmas fanatic.

Can I say viewing party?! Eric in a play in school. Can’t wait to pop this baby into our old school VHS player. Thank goodness we still have one!

Now moving onto our crafty section. Eric’s mom is the craft queen! You should see some of the exquisite (and oh so adorable) things she makes. Oh wait you will. Like her last craft project before she moves from Florida: a table runner and place mats.

Is she good or what? Once I get these on the table, I will give you an updated look! She is also so good in knowing my taste. Which is why she knew I would absolutely flip when I opened up this fabric.

Does she know me well or what? I can’t wait to find something to do with this beautiful fabric!

Now, the bling section. Yes! This segment is brought to you by the Colonel (or in other words my father-in-law). He has impeccable taste in jewelry and picked out these beauties for me. I was shocked at these beautiful gifts.

Well there you go! A look at our wonderful, loving family and how they helped us celebrate two years of love. We learned it from you! Thank you all for your love and support now and then.
