My second first post!

It’s official. I’ve changed the blog over to WordPress! After weeks of researching, planning, and nail-biting, I finally did it. You know what? It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. It really was as simple as hitting the import button in WordPress and letting it do the work for me. Although before that scary moment of hitting import, I did export my Blogger files and save them on my computer in a just in case backup situation. Thankfully it was not needed!

Not only have I changed my blogging platform from Blogger to WordPress, but I have definitely changed quite a bit else too. I am now known in the blogging world as “Rappsody in Rooms”! After so many hours of hemming and hawing over the name, this was the one. You can read more about my process of finding the name here and here. Also, hit up the “About” page so learn my philosophy about the name and purpose of the blog.

Not only is the name and look different, but I have finally expanded the blog into social media. Geesh, it took long enough, didn’t it? It’s not like I do social media as my job or anything (oh wait, I do, partly). So please, while you are taking a look around the new site, also check out my social media pages. You can find me on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. While you are checking those out make sure you sign-up to follow my blog through email so you don’t miss a single post! You can sign-up in the upper left-hand corner of the blog.

I’ll be back later this week with some fun fall projects as I am still focusing on tweaking the blog and social media sites the beginning part of this week. Can’t wait to start sharing with you all in this new format! Oh, and feel free to leave a comment now because it’s so much easier to on WordPress! Please let me know what you think about the new blog, its name, and my blogging entrance into social media.

PS: Please forgive the links in later posts right now. Unfortunately they all redirect back to Blogger. I am working to get those transferred over, but forgive the pace in which I do it since all the links must. be. changed. manually. Yikes!
