Sometimes it’s the simple things in life. Strike that, most times it is the simple things. I have a quote at my desk that tells me this every day.
“Making the simple complicated is commonplace; making the complicated simple, awesomely simple, that’s creativity.” ~Charles Mingus
So that is what today is – making something simple. It also is about using a specific item in new and unexpected ways.
Enter, a paper towel holder (lovingly swiped gifted from my mother-in-law’s yard sale pile).
I already had one for my paper towels but the moment I saw it I knew I had to have it. What was I going to use it for? To corral this pile of painters tape and washi tape I had hanging around.
Slide it on the rods and boom. Instant organization.
I call that a win for one of the cheapest (free!) and quickest (all of 5 seconds probably) projects every. Look at the way the tape tiers from large to small. How the washi tape nests on its little baby rod. Ahh organization, you make me happy, big and small.
Wow, how creative!! I met you at Haven, hope you are doing well!
Thank you so much! I remember meeting you! 🙂 Hope all is well!
I like that idea…
I’m so glad! Thank you!
What a great idea! I used a coat hanger and clipped one end, bent the edges and hooked them together so I can unhook it to switch or add tape/ribbon. I like this idea a lot though! I bet I could find a paper towel holder at a thrift store for cheap!
That is an awesome idea! Definitely cheaper and it can hang! Thanks for sharing!
